December was not a good reading month for me. I had such plans for the month. I wanted to finish all the books I had on the go and never quite got finished - both ebook/physical books as well as audiobooks. But December had other plans.  Not only was I still working at my Christmas job, but I also got the flu at the start of the month, so I wasn't able to read/listen to as many books as I had hoped. Because of this I have had to bump a fews books I had been reading/listening to until January. I shouldn't (fingers crosssed) be still working my Christmas job in the New Year, so hoping to start January strong by getting all caught up.

How to Slay at Christmas, Written By Sarah Bonner

My Rating: 💜 💜 💜 💜

This is the third book in the 'How to Slay' series of books from Sarah Bonner. You don't need to read the first two to enjoy this book as they are all standalones. Highly recommend the other two books if you haven't read them already.

This book is told from the POV of two women - Jessica is a serial killer who loves Christmas. It's the perfect time to find new people to add to her kill list. She only murders people who are bad people and make the lives of others miserable, and Christmas can bring that out in people. She gets herself a job as Mrs Claus at a small town market, and she watches for her next prey. It doesn't take long for her to compile a naughty list.

Fearne is the wife of the market manager. She makes sure her husbands life is as easy as possible, and helps him out at the market when there is trouble. She is also a published author, although she is hiding a secret about her writing career. When the council sends over a new boss to oversee the market and work with her husband Fearne sees red. She knows this woman, and there is no love lost between them.

The lives of the two women collide when the murders start to happen.

The book is very easy to read, and such a fun, bloody murder book. Perfect for reading over the Christmas and winter fire.

Naughty Saint Nick, Written By Lexi Davis

My Rating: 💜 💜 💜

This is a short and spicy Christmas read, although it will be perfect for any time of the year.

Amber is having a tough Christmas. Her marriage has ended and she and her son are spending their first Christmas alone. She is also trying to build her son's gift  - a bike, and it seems to be impossible.

But when a voice comes through her sons' walkie talkie. He calls himself Saint Nick. He becomes a highlight to her night, making her feel less alone, and the flirting going on is helping too.

Will they meet up? And what will happen if they do?

At a little over one hundred pages this is a fun read, with lots of spice.

Another slow reading months. I am really missing getting a lot of reading time, but thankfully next month is a fresh start.
